One very interesting facet of painting Star Wars game art is that we get to paint scenes that were never filmed or that were filmed differently, sort of an extra 'Director's cut'.

Hi there, firstly, thanks for sharing your work on DA. They are brilliant and the Star Wars paintings are amazing. Your attention to detail and ability capture that raw realism from the original three episodes, brings the whole scene to life.. really makes your work stand out. So when Disney call, you should charge double
My son Oskar (4years old) really liked A Message from Beyond, he asked me to add a photo of him, and replace Luke completely.. with a lightsabre, and be in training with that zapping ball thing, so the masters are now watching him train. Now that sounded like a good idea, so if I did blend him onto the piece, this is obviously non commotional, but would like to upload the final image to my DA page (making this my first).. Would that be ok to do? you would be fully credited for the original work, links etc..
If there are restrictions from the Empire to not allow this generally on commercial efforts then that would be understood, I'd still send you my final if you were curious of the outcome.
Anyhow, thanks again and hope to hear back from you..
Hello again Thaldir, and thank you for your reply! Judging from your work, I'm sure you are a busy guy so I really appreciate it.
It's understand you cannot officially give permission so no problem, and it's kind of you to be relaxed using a painting . By the way, it's almost finished an my young padawan loves it :0).. I spent longer on it than expected..
It's not of your standard at all, it's amateur, but it's been worked with.. it's simply been edited in PS and I put some free skills to a few areas.
Also, if you were curious to see any outcome, I'd be more than happy to send you the PSD/JPEG or other ..
Anyhow, enjoy the rest of your weekend & take care.
