Star Wars LCG: A Message from Beyond by Thaldir Star Wars LCG: A Message from Beyond by Thaldir
Another piece for the Star Wars LCG. This is actually my most recent one, just spoilered on FFG's website.

One very interesting facet of painting Star Wars game art is that we get to paint scenes that were never filmed or that were filmed differently, sort of an extra 'Director's cut'.

Art Director: Mike Linneman

Love how it captures the magic of the films, but has its own original flavour.

Hi there, firstly, thanks for sharing your work on DA. They are brilliant and the Star Wars paintings are amazing. Your attention to detail and ability capture that raw realism from the original three episodes, brings the whole scene to life.. really makes your work stand out. So when Disney call, you should charge double ;)

My son Oskar (4years old) really liked A Message from Beyond, he asked me to add a photo of him, and replace Luke completely.. with a lightsabre, and be in training with that zapping ball thing,  so the masters are now watching him train. Now that sounded like a good idea, so if I did blend him onto the piece, this is obviously non commotional, but would like to upload the final image to my DA page (making this my first).. Would that be ok to do?  you would be fully credited for the original work, links etc..

If there are restrictions from the Empire to not allow this generally on commercial efforts then that would be understood, I'd still send you my final if you were curious of the outcome.

Anyhow, thanks again and hope to hear back from you..

Hi, Daniel

Thank you for your kind words and your appreciation of my work, give my best to your young padawan. :)

I am sorry, I cannot give you permission to rework this piece and post it on your public gallery because, it being a commercial piece, I do not own the copyright. As a contracted artist I'm just the hand who paints.

Of course no one can tell you what you can or cannot do as a painting exercice. :)
